The ‘Castle Pavilion’ opened in the 1920’s replete with changing rooms, Turkish baths, shops, lockers, a gym and a ballroom. Now a cultural centre as well as a bathing Pavilion, it has a special place in the hearts of many Australians.
In 2005, a group of locals founded the Friends of Bondi Pavilion. We have campaigned in the Bondi Beach community and at Council to ensure that the Pavilion is maintained as a community cultural centre as the hub of music, theatre, art and festivals.
